AVEO is committed to establishing high-quality, select alliances and is seeking partners regarding the following programs:

• Human Response Prediction^TM (HRP^TM)
• Target Discovery and Validation (TDV)

Current Partnerships

In September 2005, AVEO signed an agreement with Merck & Co. utilizing AVEO’s Human Response Prediction^TM (HRP^TM) platform to identify patient populations likely to be responsive to a number of investigational cancer drugs currently being developed by Merck. The collaboration is focused on identifying genetic profiles that correlate with drug response to guide more effectively the development of Merck’s compounds. Terms included an equity investment, annual research funding and potential milestone payments.

In October 2007, AVEO and OSI Pharmaceuticals entered into a significant small molecule drug discovery and translational research collaboration.  The companies will utilize AVEO’s HRP™ platform to develop proprietary target-driven tumor models for drug screening and biomarker validation.  OSI intends to deploy these systems in support of OSI drug discovery and clinical programs.  Terms included an equity investment and upfront payments of $15M, research funding, and potential milestones and royalties on products from the collaboration.
